Anime Club
Grades: 3-5
Cost: $25
Meeting Days: Thursday mornings from 7:00 am -7:45 am, starting October 11, 2018 and ending December 13, 2018
Activities: We will learn about the Japanese style of cartooning known as manga and anime. We will create our own anime characters and feature them in a piece of art or manga comic book.
Registration: Let Ms. Brodnax know you are interested to get a permission slip to take to parents. Permission slips are due Friday, September 28th. Registration cap of 30 students.

Art Club
Grades: 3-5.
Meeting Days: Tuesday mornings from 7:00 am -7:45 am, starting Tuesday, January 29, 2019 and ending March 26, 2019.
Cost: $25.
Activities: To take a deeper dive into learning about Art, we will get to make lots of styles of art such painting, sculpture, and printmaking and experiment with art materials that are too cool for normal art class.

Chess Club
Any age: beginners welcome
Improves cognitive skills through calculation and memorization, allows for healthy and vigorous competition, personal growth and confidence, and cherished memories and friendships. Our philosophy is to create an after school chess organization that will absolutely maximize your child’s enjoyment and potential
We know what it takes to be a nationally competitive scholastic player as well as how to create a fun learning environment for all children. We provide all your child’s needs from relaxing and fun after school programs, tournaments and instructional camps, to private lessons for advanced players. nformation about chess club can be located by calling the school office.

Chorus
Grades: 4th & 5th
Meeting Days: Wednesday mornings from 7:15-7:45 am
Cost:
Activities: Chorus is open to students in grades 4-5 and meets weekly before school beginning in October. Registration packets will be available from Mrs. Orr. Involvement in the Chorusing Cougars involves singing, some drama and prop preparation. Chorus performs at various school activities and occasionally at other venues.

Robotics - Competition Team
Grades: 4th & 5th
Meeting Days: September through December, Wednesdays from 3:00 pm - 4:15 pm
Cost: $65
Activities: Students will build and program a Lego EV3 robot to complete missions. The team will also develop and research a project related to the annual competition theme. The team will attend a First Lego League competition in December.
