Mr. Howard, Director of Education
Mr. William Howard has been working in education for 32 years and has been a member of the Happy Valley Area School District for 19 years.
He began his career in education at Valley Vista School District where he served as a social studies teacher and supervisor from 1969–1980. In 1980, he became the assistant principal at High Pointe Area High School and in 1982, he joined the Happy Valley Area School District staff as assistant principal and then principal at the Junior High School. He was promoted to director of education in 1986.
As director of education, Mr. Howard is responsible for developing, managing, and implementing curriculum, instruction, and staff development policies and procedures and for developing and implementing the educational budget and educational technology policies and procedures.
Mr. Howard is a graduate of Graeber University.
