Employees choose from a variety of plans and pay a "small" co-pay depending on the plan that is chosen. State/ School District pays the majority of the cost of health insurance.

All full time employees are eligible to participate in the District dental plan. The district pays $5.03 per month toward the premium.

Happy Valley School District employees are covered by the State of NJ Pension System.COURSE REIMBURSEMENTS
Teachers may request course reimbursement for three credits in the fall, two credits in the spring. Teachers may request course reimbursement for three credits in the fall, two credits in the spring, and Courses at DelawareStateUniversity and the University of Delaware are tuition-free to Delaware teachers during Summer sessionsThe School District will reimburse employees for tuition per the University of Delaware. The number of semester hours to be taken during the summer will he subject only to the limitations imposed by the college attended. Teachers may request course reimbursement for three credits in the fall, two credits in the spring, and Courses at DelawareStateUniversity and the University of NJ are tuition-free to NJ teachers during Summer sessions.
SICKDAYS
The School District teachers are allocated 12 sick days per year. Of this allotment, 3 may be used for personal reasons. These sick days accumulate annually and 90 days can be "cashed in" at retirement at half of your daily pay rate.LONG TERM DISABILITY COVERAGE
The School District provides a long-term disability insurance policy that compensates the employee for up to 60% of their salary at the time of disability. This is available to all full-time employees after one year of service with the district.
